Whereas, in the year nineteen hundred and ninety one, the Mayor of the City of Chicago and the Mayor of the City of Kyiv signed an agreement establishing a sister cities agreement in order to affirm their mutual aspiration to work in unison for the benefit of their cities and their nations.

       To further these traditional links of friendship in the twenty-first century, the City of Chicago and the City ofKyiv, do hereby sign a sister schools agreement establishing a link between the StephenT.Mather High school and the Kyiv school # 84.

       The Stephen T. Mather High school and Kyiv school # 84 on the basis of friendly cooperation and mutual benefit, agree to initiate communication and to develop a sister schools relationship to promote and broaden cultural and educational interaction and exchange between the students, teachers and administrators.
