Maths
and Computer Science department of lyceum ¹38 named after V. M.
Molchanov has worked for more than 10 years in accodiance with the
programmes to be prepared by the teachers of our lyceum, considerate
the maths programmes for comprehensive schools and special maths
forms of lyceums and high schools. Every form has its own thematic
plan of teaching Maths and Computer Science programmes provide for
every eventuality for extension and extending. |

The
content of Maths course of comprehensive school, and intensification
its with applied direction. More complicated themes are included
which add to comprehensive school programme and effect on students
maths level, to know how to solve the most difficult maths tasks.

The
author programmes have been developed for the courses: Basis of
computer competence, basis of Computer, Computer science and applied
maths, practical informatics. |

The main
form of teaching is lessons different types but in addition to programmes
of comprehensive schools, our teachers use lectures, seminares,
practical lessons. Teachers find efficient systems of teaching methods,
which encourage activity to rise their interest for studying maths
and Computer science and promote assimilation of knowledge. |

Lectures
of teachers from the maths Institute, the Polytechnical University,
the Architecture University, studying in correspondence maths school,
taking part in olimpiads, acquaintance with art work and so on promote
students interest to the subject.
As
a result of students practical work is library of educational,
control and playing programs, which have been made for these years.
The electronic Maths newspaper is printed. The great importance
is paid to the development of intersubject connections of Maths,
Computer science, Biology, Astronomy, English courses. Integrated
lessons became normal in our lyceum.
