Natural
sciences department

The work of the
department is directed to understand nature laws & Universe,
and someone’s recognition as a part of it, the teachers try to
make students more aware of environment issues, to form
environmental knowledge’s and their connection with
environmental protection.
The teachers of the department
created the programme of integrate course “Natural science”
Teachers search for the new methods and forms of integration of
natural subjects in lyceum(from the 7th to the 11th
forms) and pro lyceum (from the 3rd form) Teachers of
the department cooperate with scientists of science-research
institutes, teachers of high educational establishments.

several last years the department has been working on such

Ecological
direction.
a) Excursions to different regions of our country: the
Poltava region, the Carpathians, the Crimea, the Kyiv
region, the Chernigir region and soon
b) Seminars, conferences for teachers and students. Inviting
scientists in the Dniper & the Kyiv reservoir, air
and water pollution in industrial regions of Ukraine,
the problems of ecology in Schevchenko district
c) Participation in city competitions of student Academy
of science and international conferences.

Educational
- Methodical direction.
1) The integrate lessons are very popular: "Geometry
of molecules", "Water as a part of our planet",
"Laws of Mendel"(computer lesson), "Modern
Germany", "The Carpathians mountains" and
so on.
2) Lessons in the city museums
3) The teachers made scientific work on system of analysis
in according of Institute of Cybernetic of NAS of Ukraine

4) The programme of "Native science" course
for 2-3 and 5 forms was improved
5) The new integrated course for 10th - 11th Form students
was tested under the leadership of Pedagogical Institute
and Institute of Psychology of APS of Ukraine.

The department give consultation
for sunior students of lyceum on writing their scientific
works. The best ones are presented on annual conference
in lyceum, district and city. |

direction.
The teacher of the department prepared students
and participated in
a) project "Computer pilot school" in
sphere using computers in studying main subjects
b) international ecological programme (Baltic
countries)
c) seminar of international educational-cultural
project "East-west" in Warsow
d) international ecological programme (Brussel,
Belgium).
