USHA project

The participation of our lyceum in the educational and cultural projects started in January 1993. Since 1994 our Lyceum has been a collective member in Ukrainian School's managers Association (USHA), European School's managers Association (ESHA), a center of ESHA in Ukraine, a diplomaed of international competitions; takes part in the international educational projects with 16 European countries.
Kozina Irina Petrivna, the principal of our lyceum, is the General Secretary of USHA, the member of ESHA, a coordinator of international programs in Ukraine.

The pupils (students) from 12 to 17 take part in various internationals programs of our lyceum.
There are essential requirements for students: fluency in foreign language, profound knowledge and erudition, active vital position.

From the previous experience we've noticed the members of delegations should also sing, dance, take part in sports competitions, prepare a speech (report) on the offered topic, discuss, maintain their point of view, make conclusions, work either on this or that problem in the international group.

The candidatures are chosen according the decisions of Lyceum Pupils Council, are confirmed by the teachers Coordinate Council engaged in international relations. The Parent's Sponsor Council and organizers of the projects provide the sponsorship.

The memorable event for our Lyceum was the participation of two its pupils - Olena Ukhanova and Dmytro Donets in Millenium Young People Action Congress in Honolulu, Hawaii in autumn 1999. In November 1999 I was chosen as a delegate to the World Peace Young Congress (WPUC), which took place in Honolulu, Gawaii.

We're been introducing the Ukrainian youth among the youth from over 100 countries all over the world.
Can't you imagine? How much more friends we have now all over the world. The Congress has been lasting for 9 days. Despite on this short term the delegates've come to the common idea - peace is a priority on the whole Earth. We were successful in foundation for the future of Garden of Peace was built. An attempt of making an oasis from the lifeless desert piece of laud is the same was difficult as to make our world better. It would be better! Think about it and then we all will make this world better together!
- These are some impressions by Dmytro Donets after the Congress.

Here is Lena Ivanova opinion: "It was I real blessing to see how the youth from different countries worked in one team together. In spite of their countries were at war with each other not long ago. Personally I made sure again the lingual, political, religious difference was nothing in compare with the passion and shine in the eyes of young people, when they were setting to business. We understood we kept our life and our future on our pregile Mother-Earth in our own hands and we couldn't be mistaken in our intentions, wishes and opinions. Just because it gave us an opportunity to be on a level with adults in discussions on the global priorities."

Nowadays our Lyceum takes part in 6 international projects. For future generations of Europe, Ukraine is situated in the center of it, democracy, education, equality, faith, family, feeling of safety, personal freedom, global idea, health, justice, love, nature, peace, self-conscious, responsibility, selflessness, forbearance, truth must become the collective ethical valuables. If we want to build a progressive country we can't shrink only into national. We have to overtake Europe for marching in step on equal, are solving global problems the mankind will come across in the nearest future.
The citizen of Ukraine must be aware of European, a part of the mankind with self-respect and responsibility for what is happening on the Earth.
