The Holiday of the First School Bell
is celebrated on the first day of every school year and is very special for the eleventh and the first grade students. For the rest of us it's time to meet each other after summer vocations, a wonderful opportunity to share news, getting acquaintance with newcomers, new teachers. Lots of fun, many flowers, music. A unique festive show in the yard of our school.

The First-graders Initiation Ceremony
The next event of our school life is the first-graders initiation ceremony, when the Queen of Knowledge initiates children into the students of the Lyceum. The moment they share some special delicious porridge from a common pot - they may consider themselves to be real classmates. No doubt children will remember this feast for the rest of their life.

Teachers Day
Having the best teachers at the Lyceum we are trying to celebrate this day in a very special way. Usually it's a wonderful performance at the end of the day, which is prepared by all students. Since morning school is beautifully decorated with wall newspapers, cards, flowers. Lots of music, sweets, jokes can be heard during the breaks.
The Lyceum is known as the best in following the traditions of English speaking countries. We study English from the first form that's why all students and teachers are involved in celebrations. Lessons-parties, lessons-celebrations are very popular and to hold them has a tradition for us for 8 year.

Halloween
is one of the most exciting holidays .You are met in the morning by students and teachers in costumes, and many funny Jack-o-dangers and scary cards, parties, tricks and contests are waiting for you. The coolest mask and costume, the best pumpkin and newspaper will get the prize.

Autumn Ball
is taking place at the end of the fall. Ballroom dancing is very popular at school. It's time for good music and classical traditions.

Naum Day
is a day to commemorate the best students of the Lyceum. Those who have excellent marks and winners of the Olympiads, those who are taking an active part in Junior Academy of Sciences are heroes of the day.

Farewell to ABC
comes after Naum Day. That's a wonderful holiday for the first grade students. We have beautiful performance all teachers as well as parents are involved there. Many music and poems. Much fun.

Christmas
celebration you will remember forever. Performances and contests, decorations and festive cards, lessons - parties, carols and many presents. At the end of the day we have a beautiful performance prepared by students, parents and teachers usually in a way of a NY fairy tale. Lots of jokes & fun, disco.

New Year Celebrations
New Year in this country is a true fairy-tale. A lot of funny and merry games with Father Frost and Snow maiden round the New Year tree. For the senior students there is a masquerade.

Kolyadouvannya and Shchedrovannya
Lyceum's traditions are closely connected with the nation's traditions.

Meeting Graduates
- time to welcome all those who graduated from our school. We have more than 5000 graduates Jubilee
Meetings are special. Prepared by students, teachers, and graduates. Musical contest, performance, family time together. We have students whose family parents graduated from the school. They call IRL a generation school.

St. Valentine's Day
Traditionally wishing cards are spread all over the school. Many hearts, lessons-parties, contests, sweets, disco.

The Day of the Native Tongue
is very popular in our school, too. Performances, dancing during every break, many posters and contests, games and fun. We hold it on the 21 of February.

We cherish and preserve the memory of our great poet Shevtchenko.

"Crystal Chestnut"
In celebration of all those holidays our school-theatre "Scvoreshnik" takes an active part. It is well known in Pechersk District and was awarded grand-pris at the festival "Crystal Chestnut".

Victory Day
The holiday starts with lessons of Courage, veterans of the War attend the school, and students bring flowers to the memorials, write compositions on the topic.

The last School Bell
This holiday takes place on the last school day, the eleven grade students say goodbye to school. And the rest are ready to meet summer. Many flowers and music. Usually it is spent outdoors.

The Ball,
All graduates of the year have their party after the exams. The Ball takes place on a big stage involving students and parents. It's a farewell party with beautiful performance and various emotions you will never forget.
